A: We are about 33 kilometres away from the HalifaxAirport.

Q: Is there transportation to and from the airport to the Westin Nova Scotian?
A: Yes, there are several Halifax airport transportation services available from the HalifaxStanfieldInternationalAirport.

Q: Are there train stations nearby?
A: Transportation by rail is also convenient to our hotel with Via Rail Canada. Via Rail is located next to the Westin Nova Scotian.

Q: What method of payments do you accept?
A: We accept VS, MC, AMEX, DS, DC & Cash, Debit. With cash paying guests, a deposit is required.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Guaranteed reservations must be cancelled by 4:00 p.m. on the day before arrival.

Q: When is the earliest I can check in?
A: Check-in time at the Westin Nova Scotian is at 3:00 PM. Check-out time is 12:00 noon. You may call the Front Desk and request an earlier arrival on the day of check-in. Partial room rates may apply.

Q: Are pets allowed in the hotel guest rooms?

Yes, the Westin Nova Scotian is a pet-friendly hotel in Halifax. Our hotel offers designated pet friendly rooms, however room type and Harbour view may not be guaranteed if requested room type is unavailable on designated floors. We offer the Westin Heavenly Dog Bed to our four-legged guests. Request upon reservation.

Q: How many people can I have in my room?

No more than two guests are permitted to stay in a king guest room due to fire codes. No more than four guests are permitted to stay in a double/double guest room.

Q: Is there an extra charge for additional guests?
A: The charge for additional guests is $20 CAD per person.

Q: Do you have a restaurant?
A: Yes, elements on hollis is located on the lobby level of the Westin Nova Scotian and features the freshest of Nova Scotia cuisine and local wines. View hours.

Q Do you have a lounge?
A Yes, Roy’s Lounge is located on the lobby level of the Westin Nova Scotian and is open daily. Starbucks coffee is available throughout the day. Open for coffee, lunch & dinner from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM daily. Learn more about our hotel restaurants.

Q Do you offer Room Service?
A Yes, we offer room service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Limited menu between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

Q Do you have a gym or fitness centre?
A Yes, our fitness centre facility is complimentary for our registered guests and is open daily from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM.

Q What type of fitness equipment is available?
A Our advanced equipment includes: Life Fitness cardiovascular equipment (Treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, stationary bikes, and stair climbers), Life Fitness strength training equipment, free weights, stretch mats and balance balls.

Q Do you have a pool?

Yes. Our pool is open seven days a week from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM.

Q Are there spa services available?
A  Halifax spa services are provided by Sykea Salon & Spa, located in the lobby level of our Halifax hotel. All registered guests receive 10% off services. Call 902.422.3438 for reservations.

Q Do you have smoking rooms?
A No, the Westin Nova Scotian offers guests a smoke-free environment. Guests may smoke outside. Should a guest smoke in their room, a room recovery fee of $200 CAD may be applied to their bill.

Q Are cribs or roll-away beds available at the hotel?
A Yes. A crib or roll-away can be arranged at the time of your reservation. There is no charge for a crib; however, there is a slight charge per stay for a roll-away bed.  View a list of our Halifax hotel amenities. (Both are based on availability).

Q Do you have on-site parking?

Yes, we offer well lit on-site hotel parking for $18+Tax CAD plus tax per vehicle per night. The Westin Nova Scotian also offers valet parking for $22+Tax CAD plus tax per vehicle per night.

Yes, we offer complimentary high-speed and Wi-Fi internet in key guest areas throughout the hotel. Complimentary high speed wireless internet access is also available for our SPG and PVC guests via a special access code provided by our front desk upon check-in. For other guests, we have the following options available:

- Complimentary 384 kbs service.  This service is good for checking Email only.  Please choose the 1 meg service for VPN or the 5 meg service for streaming movies or music.

Option 2
1 meg – $7.95
- 24 hour 1 meg service.  This service is good for basic VPN access and Email.  Please choose the 5 meg service for streaming movies or music.

Option 3
5 meg – $11.95
- 24 hour 5 meg service.  This service is the best option for everything such as movies, music and VPN.
