recommend this hotel
I have to say, customer service and hospitality go a LONG way, even if the other features aren't great. My flight was cancelled, so I couldn't make it to the first night I had booked my room. Hotels require at least 24 hours notice, and I couldn't give that to them. But to my surprise, Westin Nova Scotian still credited my first night stay to me even though they didn't have to. And, because I didn't show up the first night, they had to give away my room, but they still manged somehow to get me into a nice suite. The girl checking me in was needless to say fantastic after a long, frustrating travel journey to get there.
The room was great, and the restaurant was good, as well. It's within walking distance of downtown Halifax and the boardwalk, and the hotel itself is beautiful. The valet even ran inside at one point to get my colleague some free water even though my colleague didn't even ask.
Great job Westin Nova Scotian!
