We're not just sponsoring Team Nova Scotia at this year's Halifax Canada Winter Games. We're also out volunteering as well! Two of our dedicated employees are volunteering to help make the Games a huge success!
Ashley is one of our Reservations Agent here at the Westin Nova Scotian. She is hosting at the Merchandise Store in the Barrington Place Shops. If you're there, be sure to stop by and say hi to her :)
Ashley says, "It's really exciting meeting people from all over Canada. A lot of the teams and visitors have never been to Halifax before and it's great to be able to talk with them and hear about their adventrues. It's really great to see all the young athletes- especially knowing that we'll see many of them again in the Olympics someday!"
Glenn is a secondary offical with Freestyle Skiing. He's also an almunus of the Canada Games. He competed in' 81 and '85 in Waterskiing, coached in '93 and continues to volunteer with Freestyle Winter Skiing.
"I'm having a great time and Ski Wentworth is doing a fantastic job with the events here on the hills," says Bowie.
This year's theme is, "What Will you Bring?" When asked, Ashley said she is bringing her smile and Glenn is bringing his enthusiasm and experience. We wanted to give a shout out to them for taking time out of their own lives to give back to the community.
