Our Halifax hotel from the Seaport Farmer’s Market
Our Seaport Summer Scenes Contest is back. Based on the popularity of the photo contest last summer, we are doing it again!
We decided to start a little earlier this year because there are just so many great scenes to be photographed in the Seaport District & Southend Halifax! We couldn’t wait to get started...
All you have to do to participate is visit our Westin Nova Scotian Facebook Page weekly for our new Seaport Summer Scenes photo and tell us where the picture was taken or what the picture is of. All correct answers will be entered in a draw to win a Friday night stay for two + breakfast Saturday morning at our downtown Halifax hotel. This way you can enjoy a delicious local breakfast before heading over to the Halifax Seaport Farmer’s Market.
The draw will take place at the end of the summer on September 20th with a few surprises along the way, so stay connected to our Facebook page.
Whenever I go to the market I discover something new… a new product, new vendor, new wine, new snack. They may have been there all along but for some reason they escaped my senses. I’m kicking off the contest with my five new faves:
- Lavender Chai Tea from Seafoam Lavender Farm - http://lavendercanada.com/
- Beet Relish from the Naked Pickle
- Rock your Boat coffee from the Laughing Whale - http://www.laughingwhalecoffee.com/
- Stylish & functional hats from Sugar Soul - http://sugarsoulstudio.blogspot.ca/
- Folk Art postcards from Shelagh Duffett - http://www.duffettfolkart.com/
Check them all out and discover your own favourites at the market! The market is undergoing an improvement until later in April. That means that only the exterior vendors are open during the week. You can still visit the interior vendors Fridays 10 am – 5 pm / Saturdays 7 am – 4 pm / Sundays 8 am – 4 pm. For more information, visit the Halifax Seaport Farmers' Market online: www.halifaxfarmersmarket.com/
We look forward to seaing you soon!
