The associates of the Westin Nova Scotian are amazing at supporting organizations that have touched their lives through community involvement and fundraising efforts. One charity that we have taken a particular interest in supporting from its conception is Brigadoon Children's Camp Society and our good friend and the camp's Executive Director, David McKeage.
On March 11 we held our first ski day in support of Brigadoon at Wentworth Mountain. In addition to being a fun day of skiing it was heart warming to raise money for a camp dedicated to improving the lives of children living with chronic illness.
Brigadoon Village has hosted three weeks of camp since opening in August and is holding an official Open House on October 1. As representative from our Halifax Hotel, I went to Aylesford Lake to visit Brigadoon this past Sunday. It was a glorious day and great pleasure to tour a facility that is a first of its kind for children in Atlantic Canada.
